We went to MASS MoCA to see this performance-part dance, part theater, even part circus…it was really cool!
Summer science for the Ruthven kids!
Uncle Sean and Auntie Colette gave Connor this ant farm for xmas but the directions stated that we could not order the ants until warmer weather or they might die en route…well that alone prompted much (nagging, whining and) library research - so we proceeded to learn a lot about ants, their habitats, life spans, predators, likes and dislikes all building up to the very day that these ants would arrive in the mail!!!
So we ordered them, they came, and were dead-bummer; but we had a lot of prior knowledge about the hows and whys of their untimely death so were able to overcome (thanks to express shipping + careful persuading @deadants.com) and now VOILA! Connor is looking forward to tracking their progress via graphs and drawings, digital pictures too so you’ll see a lot more of our new pets-we hope…
ANT FARM - TAKE I:
The look of anticipation when the ants arrived speaks for itself…it took me though until ‘TAKE II’ to figure out that I should open the package for a sneak-peek to see if the ants are actually alive prior to the filmed build-up…don’t worry though the ultimate ending is happily ever after!
